Piemonte Samsarelou Arquitectos

The architectural practice PiSaA , based in Barcelona (Spain) was set up in 2003, arising from the profesional partnership of Domenico Piemonte (1976, Padova) and Katerina Samsarelou (1976, Larissa).

The practice is involved in work over a wide range of architectural scales (from design to landscaping) for both the public and prívate sectors.

The design work wich typifies the projects undertaken by our practice is aimed at the understanding and interpretation of the relations existing between building and landscape.

The starting point of any project is the research, the decodification and the decision-making in basis of elements that derive from the context, the scrolling of the history of the place and its need to be regenerated.

The goal is to introduce dense insertions into the landscape, succesfully imparting new energy to the context.

The Office applies the principles of bioclimatic design and the ecological construction, with the use of ultímate software systems.
