The intervention involves two different themes (office and residential) which must be addressed in different ways, but which must interact with each other and have a common denominator.
While maintaining a unitary character, the building complex is configured as an organism that offers changing perspectives and favors a stimulating and authentic vision.
The office building, of a more institutional nature, derives from a black vertical sequence, the residential buildings are the result of the combination of white horizontal bands.
To emphasize this dichotomy, the facades of both buildings are set back from these elements and predominantly glazed.
This spatial sequence generates contrast and union at the same time, giving the intervention a strong connotation on an urban scale and clearly defining the different functions of the buildings. The offices entrust their spatial sequence to a metal structure which, rotated 45º with respect to the perimeter, it surrounds the entire building like a trilithic sequence. The central core, also rotated, gives spatial complexity to the interiors as well as acting as a structural core to allow maximum freedom of the rooms.
The residences are characterized by floors (coated to increase their thickness) generated starting from a shaped rectangle out of four sides differently each time, according to a logic of antisymmetry.
On the different floors the facade, following the functional program, can be further recessed to generate large terraces, protect from the sun and give spatial complexity to the building.
